The unicorn is not just the stuff of fairytales (and Harry Potter), but is also a symbol for Scotland.  These delightful pewter Unicorn earrings were handcrafted in the UK.

Did you know Scotland has a National Unicorn Day? It's on the 9 April every year!
That is because Scotland’s national animal is the Unicorn!!! So while most countries pick an animal from their country as the national animal (eg the Eagle in the USA, the Bengal Tiger in India), the Scots decided to be different.

The unicorn is a symbol of purity and power, and the unicorn image is found all over Scotland, including at Stirling Castle, and on one of the oldest warships in the world, the HMS Unicorn, which has a unicorn as its figurehead.

Design features of these unicorn earrings are:

  • Unicorn earrings are approx. 1” high x 1/2” wide
  • Hand-crafted in the UK
  • Lead-free pewter
