Any Irishman would be proud to wear this pewter Kilt Belt Buckle. It proudly displays two Irish symbols - the Claddagh and the Shamrock.

If your heritage happens to be Scots Irish, this buckle is even better for you, as it was Handcrafted in Scotland, by fellow Celts!

The Claddagh is recognized the world over as an Irish symbol with a wonderful meaning - the Hands for Friendship,
The Heart for Love and the Crown for Loyalty. As I tell my customers, if you have Love, Friendship and Loyalty, you don't need much else!

The Shamrock is also recognised the world over as an Irish symbol. They say that long ago the Shamrock only grew in Ireland, but as the Irish moved everywhere, so did the Shamrock!

The buckle itself is approx. 4" x 3" and will fit a 2" wide belt, and will add the perfect finishing touch to your kilt ensemble.

An example of Ogham

Dating to to about 600 AD, we photographed this Ogham stone in Kilmalkedar Church, on the Dingle peninsular, in Co. Kerry. on our last trip to Ireland. The ogham carving reads "ẠṆM MẠỊLE-INBIR/ MACI BROCANN" - "Name of Máel-Inbher son of Broccán"
