A traditional Scottish cap or hat, the Tam O’Shanter is a wide flat round woolen cap, with a tight headband, and usually topped off with a pompom. It got its name from a famous Robert Burns poem “Tam o' Shanter”.

Dating to to about 600 AD, we photographed this Ogham stone in Kilmalkedar Church, on the Dingle peninsular, in Co. Kerry. on our last trip to Ireland. The ogham carving reads "ẠṆM MẠỊLE-INBIR/ MACI BROCANN" - "Name of Máel-Inbher son of Broccán"
