These beautifully hand crafted cufflinks depict a Rampant Lion on a Shield.
The Rampant Lion is displayed on one of the two flags of Scotland and is considered the unofficial national flag of Scotland. A rampant lion is shown as a profile of a lion standing upright on its hind legs, with the forelegs raised and claws out, as if ready for battle.
By the way, the Official National Flag of Scotland is the Saltire (which is also known as St. Andrew’s Cross).
