A delightful stainless steel necklace that combines two Irish symbols into one – The Shamrock and the Triskele.

You are probably familiar with the Shamrock, a symbol associated with Ireland for hundreds of years. The Triskele is one of the oldest symbols in Ireland, and was carved into the entrance stone of Newgrange Passage Tomb, County Meath over 5,200 years ago! It is possibly the oldest symbol of spirituality.

Also known at the Triskelion or the Triple Spiral, this is such an ancient symbol, we do not know its exact meaning, and in fact its meaning may have changed over time. The most popular interpretation is of the Mother Goddess or Triple Goddess (the maiden, the mother and the crone or wise old woman). These three interlocking spirals may represent the celestial, the physical, and the spiritual realms; earth, sea, and sky; life-death-rebirth; mind, body, spirit; etc.

In addition, the number three held a special symbolism to the Celts, and both the Shamrock and the Triskele, are made up of three parts in one. Why not use whatever meaning you like best, for this interesting and unusual pendant!

Design elements of this pendant are:

  • 316L Stainless Steel chain
  • Approx 1" high
  • Approx 1" wide
