This sturdy pewter kilt pin depicts the Thistle, the national emblem for Scotland.
Legend has it that long ago in Scotland there was an invading party that wanted to sneak up on their Scottish victims at night, so they removed their footwear. One of the invaders trod on the thorny thistle and yelped in pain. This alerted the Scots and they were saved, all because of the lowly Thistle!
