This is a delightful piece of Celtic jewelry. The number 3 had special significance to the Celts (eg Triple Goddess, Triskel, Trinity Knot, Shamrock, or as representations of the key elements - Earth, Sea and Sky). Multiples of that number amplified its meaning.
