The centerpiece of this bracelet is a beautifully interlaced Zoomorphic Knot, offset with the head of a Celtic Bird on one side and the body on the opposite side. A Zoomorphic Knot is a Celtic Knot which incorporates an animal, usually because the animal has one or more admirable traits.
Many of us, even in modern times, regard birds a symbol of Freedom "Free as a Bird", but to the ancient Celts their ability to ascend to the heavens also indicated they were mediators between the Gods and mankind, and used to provide guidance. Birds were also used to fortell the future.
